Ryan Keith Nelson
ALBUQUERQUE — Funeral services for Ryan Keith Nelson, 34, of To’Hajiilee, New Mexico, will be held today, Nov. 27, at 9 a.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services-Alameda Mortuary in Albuquerque, with Murphy Platero officiating. Burial will follow in To’Hajiilee.
Ryan was born Sept. 13, 1985, in Albuquerque, into the Tábaahá (Water’s Edge Clan), born for Tsénjíkiní (Honey Combed Rock People Clan). He passed away Nov. 19, 2019, in Albuquerque.
Ryan was a sous chef who enjoyed spending time with his daughter, bike riding, cooking, and playing his guitar and drums.
Ryan is survived by his daughter, Isabella Nelson; parents, Isabelle Chavez and John T. Nelson; brother, Kraig Nelson; and sisters, Keri Jojola and Staci Aguilar.
Ryan is preceded in death by his grandmother, Marie P. Chavez; paternal grandparents, Carol and John Nelson; maternal grandfather, Arturo Chavez; and maternal uncle, Norman Chavez.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Jojola, Kraig Nelson, Dominic Jojola, Mark Selph, Ivy Sandoval and Korey Chavez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Aguilar, Anthony Aguilar and John Chavez.
A reception will take place at the Desidero Center in To’Hajiilee, following services.

Pauline Bitsuie
ST. MICHAELS, Ariz. — Funeral services for Pauline Bitsuie, 68, of Cross Canyon, Arizona, will be held today, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m. at the St. Michaels Catholic Church in St. Michaels, Arizona, with Father Blane Grein officiating. Burial will follow in Kin Dah Lichii, Arizona.
Pauline was born July 31, 1951, in Cross Canyon, into the Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan), born for Tsénjíkiní (Honey Combed Rock People Clan). She passed away Nov. 21, 2019, in Chinle.
Pauline enjoyed listening to oldies, cooking, cleaning and helping whenever she could.
Pauline is survived by her sons, Frankie Juarez, Orlando Juarez and Aaron John; daughters, Lucy Burrell, Lucinda Curley and Yolanda Mitchell; brothers, Frank Yazzie, Edward Yazzie and Lee Yazzie Bitsuie; sisters, Irene Jones, Hattie John, Florence James, Sadie Joe, Jean Harding and Mary Bitsuie; and 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, Nasbah Wilson and John Bitsuie.
Pallbearers will be Clint Cowboy, Zachariah Kee, Zachary Kee, Jimmy Owens, Gerald Kee and Darwin Walker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Juarez, Aaron John, Lee Benny Kee, Melvin Jones, Jeff Gould and Roy Joe.
A reception will take place at the Kin Dah Lichii Chapter House, following services.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
