Florence McCabe
ALBUQUERQUE — Memorial service for Florence (Whipple) McCabe, 100, of Albuquerque, will be held Friday, March 8, at 10:30 a.m., at Chelwood Church (2200 Chelwood Park Blvd.) in Albuquerque. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery (501 N. Guadalupe St.) at 1:30 p.m.
Florence was born Jan. 12, 1924, in Los Angeles, California, into the Naaneesht’ézhí Táchii’nii (Charcoal Streaked Division of the Red Running Into the Water Clan), born for Tł’ááshchí’í (Red Bottom People Clan). She passed away peacefully in the early morning of Feb. 3, 2024, in Albuquerque, after spending an afternoon with loved ones. She celebrated her 100th birthday two weeks prior with most of her extended family and friends, a joyful occasion for her and the family.
Florence graduated from Rehoboth Mission and Navajo Mission before gaining her college diploma from Wheaton College. She continued on and received a master’s degree in early childhood education from the University of New Mexico.
Florence was employed as a secretary at Sandia Laboratories before becoming a teacher at Pueblo schools in the area, ending with a permanent position as a kindergarten teacher at Laguna Pueblo Elementary School, where she retired after 25 years.
Florence is survived by her son, William D. McCabe; daughter, Patricia K. McCabe; brother, Henry Whipple Jr.; and seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews, and their children.
Florence is preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. McCabe; and sisters, Katherine McCabe and Angeline Allen.

Alyse K. Benally
WINDOW ROCK — Funeral services for Alyse Kara Benally, 35, of Fort Defiance, will be held Saturday, March 9, at 10 a.m., at the Christian Reformed Church in Window Rock, with Christopher Curley officiating. Burial will follow in Deer Springs, Arizona.
Alyse was born June 24, 1988, in Fort Defiance. She passed away Feb. 28, 2024, in Albuquerque.
Alyse graduated from Window Rock High School and Pima Medical Institute. She was employed at Best Buy Drugs.
Alyse is survived by her spouse, Delvin Yazzie; daughters, Layla M. Yazzie and Hayzel D. Yazzie; parents, Shari Benally and Antonio Benally Sr.; brothers, Cruz Benally and Antonio Benally Jr.; sisters, Shanese Benally and Shandi Benally; and grandparents, Anita Wauneka and Tony Bryant.
Pallbearers will be Cruz Benally, Antonio Benally Jr., Taylor Hoskie, Eric Bryant, Kevin Bryant, and Derren Yazzie.
A reception will take place at the Fort Defiance Chapter House following services.

Rev. Ralph E. Godbey
SCIENCE HILL, KY. — Funeral services for Rev. Ralph Edward Godbey, 89, of Danville, Kentucky, were held Feb. 29 at the Morris and Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, Kentucky, with Pastor Steve Meece officiating. Interment followed at the Science Hill Cemetery.
Rev. Godbey was born Nov. 14, 1934, in Bethelridge, Kentucky. He passed away Feb. 24, 2024, in Danville.
Rev. Godbey attended Baptist Bible College in 1970 in Springfield, Missouri. He was called to the mission field in 1966 as a missionary for 13 years to the Navajo Nation at Ganado Baptist Church in Ganado, Arizona. His last pastorate was at Anchor Baptist Church in Danville, for 13 years until retirement.
Rev. Godbey was an accomplished machinist with a hard work ethic and a strong handshake. He had a sincere desire to spread the gospel and had great love for the Navajo people. After retirement, he returned to the Navajo Nation to help other missionaries carry on their work serving the Lord.
Rev. Godbey is survived by his wife of 67 years, Paula Colleen Shadoan Godbey; sons, Edward S. Godbey and Douglas O. Godbey; daughter, Staci Marie Godbey Dean; brother, Roy Godbey; sister, Margaret Burton; and eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Rev. Godbey is preceded in death by his parents, Ada and Howard Godbey; sisters, Delores Murray and Lillie Moore; and brothers, Oral Godbey, Bill Godbey, Luther Godbey, and Gene Godbey.

Brenda Enrico
LITTLEWATER, N.M. — Funeral services for Brenda Enrico, 52, of Littlewater, New Mexico, will be held Saturday, March 9, at 11 a.m., at the Rock of Ages Church in Littlewater, with Harry D. Largo officiating. Burial will follow in Littlewater.
Brenda was born July 18, 1971, in Crownpoint, into the Tł’ógí (Hairy Ones/Weaver-Zia Clan), born for Ta’neeszahnii (Tangle Clan). She passed away March 1, 2024, in Farmington.
Brenda graduated from Crownpoint High School and enjoyed baking, joking, and driving around.
Brenda is survived by her sons, Travis Wally, Brandon Wally, Shawndin Enrico, Jared Enrico, Ramediaz Lamone, and Chase Kenneth; daughters, Treylene Wally, Skylene Enrico and Carlene Lamone; and three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Bennie Enrico; brothers, Larrison Tom, Larris Enrico and Jerry Enrico; and grandparents, Little Tom and Rita Woody.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be family members.
A reception will take place at the Rock of Ages Church following services.

Gerilene M. Joe
GALLUP — Funeral services for Gerilene Mae Joe, 47, of Gallup, were held March 6 at the Rollie Mortuary Chapel in Gallup, with Pastor Jerry Tom officiating. Interment followed in Gallup.
Gerilene was born April 27, 1976, in Fort Defiance. She passed away Feb. 25, 2024, in Phoenix.
Gerilene graduated from Tohatchi High School in 1994 and studied medical assistant courses at Long Technical College. She was employed as a health technician at Indian Health Services at Gallup Indian Medical Center.
Gerilene loved taking her son and grandson to the park. She played basketball and volleyball with her daughters when she could.
Gerilene is survived by her sons, Tavian Joe and Tyler Charlie; daughters, Nataleya Walker and Tanaysha Walker; parents, Lena Joe and Willis Stewart; brothers, Gerald Nez and Jerimiah Nez; grandmother, Nancy A. Billie; and grandson, Kylon Cadman.
Pallbearers were Gerald Nez, Jerimiah Nez, Tavian Joe, Isaiah Fuller, Trudell Cadman, and Lydell Begay.
Honorary pallbearers were Brian Charlie and LeAdrean Begay.

Haroldson Hubbard
CROWNPOINT — Funeral services for Haroldson Hubbard, 39, of Crownpoint, will be held today, March 7, at 10 a.m., at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Crownpoint, with Sherman Manuelito officiating. Burial will follow in Crownpoint.
Haroldson was born Sept. 5, 1984, in Gallup, into the Tsenabahiłnii (Sleep Rock People Clan), born for Táchii’nii (Red Running Into the Water People Clan). He passed away Feb. 28, 2024, in Albuquerque.
Haroldson was loving, caring and very competitive. He loved to draw and play card games, pool, basketball, football, and video games. He enjoyed cleaning, cooking, grilling, and spending time with his children.
Haroldson is survived by his son, Sheldon Billie; daughters, Vanessa Billie, Brianna Billie and Adrianna Billie; parents, Vivian and Harry Hubbard; and sisters, Lucynthia Hubbard, Pamelisa Hubbard, Mara Hubbard, Kimberly
Hubbard, Verranda Hubbard, and Deidra Hubbard.
Pallbearers will be Kishoun Sprague, Jerry Bunville III, Noah Sprague, Tregg Johnson Jr., Leylijah McDonald, and Kendale Billie.

Josiah H. Henry
GALLUP — Funeral services for Josiah Hoss Henry, 20, of Newcomb, New Mexico, were held March 5 at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup, with Anthony Nez officiating. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Park.
Josiah was born June 6, 2003, in Gallup, into the Bird Clan of Eastern Cherokee, born for Hashtł’ishnii (Mud Clan). He passed away Feb. 24, 2024, in Gallup.
Josiah attended Newcomb High School and enjoyed painting, spending time with family and friends, and loved animals.
Josiah is survived by his mother, Martina R. Hudson; father, Edward B. Henry Jr.; stepmother, Meida James-Henry; brothers, Jasper Henry, Joshua Henry and Jeremiah Henry; sisters, Amanda Henry and Atlanta Henry; and maternal grandfather, Martin Hudson.
Josiah is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lillian F. Hudson; paternal grandparents, Teresa Hardy Henry and Edward B. Henry Sr.; and paternal step-grandfather, Richard Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Jasper Henry, Joshua Henry, Jeremiah Henry, Cecil Henry Jr., Lavon Thomas, Trey LeBeau, and Malakai Washburn.
